Extended redundancy protection for women and new parents

Expectant employees have, from April 2024, greater protection from redundancy during pregnancy and new parents will have extended protections when they return from maternity, adoption and shared parental leave.

Carer's leave

Employees who care for a dependant with a long-term care are entitled, from 6 April 2024, to one week of flexible unpaid leave per year.
