Pay data: three months to May 2024

Various research bodies have published pay data for the three months to the end of May 2024.

  • Incomes Data Research shows the median pay award at 4.5% for the three months to May (interquartile range: 4.0% to 6.0%).
  • Brightmine (formerly XpertHR) recorded a median basic pay award of 4.6% across the whole economy for the three months to the end of May (lower quartile: 4%; upper quartile: 5.3%). The median manufacturing-and-production sector award was 4.5%, compared with 4.9% for the services sector.
  • According to the Labour Research Department, the median pay rise in the three months to May was 5.0% for workers on all grades.
