March 2024 inflation data

The UK’s inflation rate in March 2024, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 3.2%.

The detailed inflation figures for the year to March 2024 are as follows:

  • CPI inflation was 3.2% in March 2024 (Index: 133.0), down from 3.4% in the year to February
  • RPI* inflation was 4.3% in March 2024 (Index: 383.0), down from 4.5% in the year to February
  • CPIH inflation was 3.8% in March 2024 (Index: 131.6), unchanged from the February figure

*The Office for National Statistics no longer regards the RPI as an official measure of inflation.
